Batch 036 combines components from Indiana, Tennessee and Kentucky, which start at 7.5 years old and top out at 15 years old. Starting with barrels that showcased full-bodied tones of black cherry and intense oak, slightly younger distillate with bright stone fruit and peppery notes were added to balance the blend. Finally, the older barrels were integrated to round out the profile with milk chocolate and spiced pecans. These elements come together to create a complex tasting experience, with flavors like chocolate chess pie, spiced orange coffee cake with citrus glaze, and honeyed baklava dancing across the palate. The derived mashbill lands at 79% corn, 16% rye, and 5% malted barley.
