Black Slate “La Vilella Alta” expresses the rugged llicorella slate soils of Vilella Alta in Priorat. A precise blend of old and younger vines of Garnatxa and Carinyena, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, this wine is fermented in concrete with 30-day maceration. Half is aged in concrete and half in French oak (30% new) for 12 months, yielding a wine of both power and finesse. Standard-bearing of sustainable practices—with certified organic estate farming and steep vineyard terraces.
