At 100% rye and 100% proof, we were expecting to be blown away with spice and power. Instead, we were pleasantly surprised to find a robust and spicy but oh-so-smooth of a sipper. The nose pops with dark caramel, cinnamon, and white pepper. The palate rich and luxurious with bananas foster topped with a sweet cream, vanilla bean, spicy green peppercorn and powerful finish of maple and brown sugar. The special touch here is the maturation in used Uncle Nearest barrels, keeping it smooth and rich. Well done, Ms. Butler. We'll be reaching for this one again and again.
